What I did
- 01Lead UI/3D programmer, and designed the software architecture.
- 02Built Flash import tools that bring the existing animated stories into Unity.
- 03An asset-bundle system that streams the stories on demand.
- 04Real-time rendering over the device camera image, via OpenGL, with extra textures composited on top.
- 05Subscriptions, push notifications and a 'Stars Points' reward currency.
- 06iOS native plugins, analytics and a client/server layer, then ported to Google Play and the App Store.
What stands out
- 01Flash import tools that bring existing animation into Unity.
- 02OpenGL camera rendering and an asset-bundle system that delivers the stories.
- 03Character and prop renders included a dog, parrot 'Tuki', spider and Miss Gadish herself, dating from early 2016.
- 043D pipeline included full and procedural character animations plus lip-sync files, and an encoded preview of a title 'The Lion & The Mouse'.
